I’m Michelle Moncrief, a Certified Professional Midwife and the heart behind Ruach Ezerah Midwifery. My path into midwifery began through seven years of work as a birth doula, where I witnessed the power of informed, compassionate support during pregnancy and birth. Those experiences inspired me to deepen my education and offer families skilled, continuous care.
I am a mother of four and a military spouse since 2015, experiences that have shaped my flexibility, patience, and presence as a care provider. I began formal midwifery education at the Midwives College of Utah in 2022, completed extensive clinical training under a Certified Nurse Midwife in Georgia, and graduated in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery. That same month, I earned my CPM credential after passing the NARM exam. I am currently awaiting licensure as a Licensed Midwife in the State of Hawaiʻi.
My care is rooted in the midwifery model of care, emphasizing safety, respect, shared decision-making, and unhurried, relationship-centered visits. I value thoughtful education, open dialogue, and supporting birth as a natural process guided with skill, humility, and gentleness. As a lifelong learner, I maintain continuing education, emergency skills training, and study herbal and evidence-informed supports for families.
Outside of midwifery, I enjoy physical fitness, vibing to afrobeats, gardening, herbal preparation, and time with my family. It is an honor to prepare to serve families in Hawaiʻi, and I look forward to walking alongside them with calm support, gentle guidance, and a heart rooted in faith.
