I truly don’t have the words to fully capture the experience we had. From beginning to end, my family was cared for in such a genuine and intentional way. Every question we had was answered before we even had the chance to ask—it made the entire process feel smooth, safe, and supported.

Going into a home birth, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, and I was nervous. But she made it feel not only possible, but natural and achievable. When it came time to push, I was scared—but she guided me through it with such calm, confident, and reassurance that I was able to do something I didn’t think I could.

Her guidance, patience, kindness, nurturing spirit, and her ability to step into a focused, get-it-done mode when needed was everything I needed for a successful home birth. She has such a powerful way of advocating for her clients—it’s truly something to be admired.

Not only have I gained a lifelong midwife, but I’ve also gained a sister. Like I told her, I don’t care where she is—we will travel if we have to, because she is the only person I trust to bring my children into this world.

As a NICU nurse in Columbus, Georgia, I was nervous and skeptical about home birth due to how many babies having to come to NICU from a home birth. I felt it was not safe. Being pregnant with my second child and having a traumatic birth with my first, I wanted someone that would advocate for me in the hospital if need be. I choose Michelle to be my Doula. This was my third homebirth, and I can sincerely say that none of the midwives I’ve used before offered the level of support, care, and love that Michelle gave to my family. After my son was born, I had some trouble with breastfeeding. Michelle was able to quickly identify what was going on, but she didn’t just fix it and leave, she stayed well past our scheduled visit until I felt confident and comfortable with my son’s latch.
